Disappearing Composer of the Year - John Williams
Disappearing Composer of the Year - John Williams

John Williams

Winner: John Williams

For 2005, composer John Williams cleaned house in Cue Awards.  He was unanimously voted Composer of the Year and his projects earned 7 Cue Awards!  With MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, MUNICH, STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH AND WAR OF THE WORLDS released in 2005, it was a stellar year for even John Williams.

We heard his theme in HARRY POTTER in 2005 and in SUPERMAN RETURNS in 2006, still, with no full-length feature film release from Williams, it made this year a little odd.  Even though he doesn't crank out the classics of yester-decade anymore, his talents were missed.   So here's to 2008 and hopefully hearing Mr. Williams again in LINCOLN and INDIANA JONES 4.
