Record Label of the Year - 2006 Cue Awards

Nominees:

Moviescore Media
Varese Sarabande
Milan Records
Decca Records
Sony Classical
iTunes

Winner:

Varèse Sarabande

In 2006, soundtracks became more "available" and "accessible" than ever.  Downloading music touched the soundtrack genre through avenues like newcomer, Moviescore Media, and titan, iTunes.  Another traditional label that had an exellent year was Milan records, yet Varèse Sarabande has come out on top again.

Varèse Sarabande is a three time winner of this award.  Narrowly beating out iTunes, Varèse Sarabande continued to outpace all other contenders in terms of sheer volume.  The label launched upwards of 50 titles in 2006 among them:  Night At The Museum, X-Men: The Last Stand, Mission Impossible 3, Lost Season 2 and Fast & The Furious Tokyo Drift.
