RATATOUILLE BY MICHAEL GIACCHINO

This win for RATATOUILLE is its second in the
2007 Cue Awards. Emerging from a somewhat
lackluster year for animated-feature films, was Pixar's RATATOUILLE.
Helping to distinguish this film from the mediocre-lot was MICHAEL
GIACCHINO's fresh, lively, French-flavored score. Under
Giacchino's watch Pixar films continue to avoid what have become
3D-animated film cliches. With RATATOUILLE, the listener is treated to
cool, jazzy-runs, as we were in 2006's INCREDIBLES, but Giacchino also
delves back into to the classic, slapstick-toon-style of composer Carl
Stallings. |
