VARÈSE SARABANDE
While there were a number of significant releases from labels such as
Lakeshore Records and MovieScore Media in 2007, once again, Varèse
Sarabande captures the Cue Award for Record Label of the Year.
For the company founded in 1978, the year 2007 was marked by several
significant achievements. First, it was the most productive year
in the label's history with well over 70 releases. Second, during
the year, I AM LEGEND by JAMES NEWTOWN HOWARD became the labels 900th
release. Other notable releases included:
Jerry Goldsmith: His Final Recordings, As You Like It (Cue Award
Nominee), I Am Legend (Cue Award Nominee), Michael Clayton (Oscar
Nominee), Tin Man (Cue Award Nominee), Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem (Cue
Award Nominee). The ever-popular CD club releases also continued
to bring wide-smiles to collector's faces around the world. |
