the high quality mp3 || Jennifer Markham was born in Rochester, NY and was educated at SUNY
Brockport, UCLA, and USC. At the USC School of Music, she studied
composition with James Hopkins and Donald Crockett, and worked with Elmer
Bernstein, Christopher Young, and Ron Jones in the film scoring program.
She graduated magna cum laude and received a Bachelors of Music in
Composition with an emphasis on scoring for motion pictures and
television. She was also honored by gaining acceptance into the 1999 ASCAP
Film Scoring Workshop.
Miss Markham has written the score for over 50 films, videos and
commercials, including feature-length films such as Alcatraz Avenue,
Nothing Shocking, the direct-to-video feature Escape Through Time, and a
National Public Service Announcement for Stop The Violence. She has scored
award-winning student films such as White Rabbits, Yobbo, Snow Fort, and
Parking Spaces Limited, and her music has been exhibited in festivals
throughout the United States and Canada.
An experienced conductor, Jennifer made her professional orchestra debut in September of 1996 in front of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, released a CD demo of her film music in 1997. An accomplished flutist and pianist/keyboardist, Jennifer occasionally performs on her recordings and has a background in synthesizer programming and computer music applications. ||| |||| |||||| |||||||||| |||||||||||||| ||||||||||| |||| ||||||| |||| ||||| |||
